Fra ITM: We are very pleased to present our very first cruising map covering the Mediterranean Sea. This is a double-sided map covering the eastern portion on side 1 and the western part on side 2. We were presented with a dilemma in designing this map, in that the shape of the sea is such that to include the straits of Gibraltar and the Dardanelles on the same map, a compromise would be necessary.
As few cruise ships now go to the North African coast, we concentrated on showing only the portion from Morocco to Tunisia so we could show Spain, France, Italy, Greece, the Balkans, and the Eastern Mediterranean, including the Black Sea. Little did we know that war in Europe would impact so intensely on what should be a pleasurable touristic map. Regardless, almost all of the ports of call for cruise ships in 2022 are shown on this map, including those favoured by smaller liners in the Adriatic Sea. We have also included common ferry routes between Italy and Greece and Marseille to Algiers.

The cartographic representation focuses on the most important information for travellers and is particularly easy to read. Instead of shading, coloured height layers are used.

The map is centered on the peak of Triglav and coverage extends north to Kranjska Gora, south to the Bohinj Lake, west to Trenta, and east to Bohinjska Bistrica in the south-eastern corner of the map.
Contours at 10m intervals with shading and graphics relief, plus plenty of spot heights provide and excellent presentation of the topography. An overprint highlights waymarked hiking trails, indicating difficult sections. 32 mountain shelters are cross-referenced to the information on the reverse, with more symbols highlighting locations of other tourist accommodation , inns, climbing sites, viewpoints, interesting natural or cultural sites, etc. Road network shows car parks and petrol stations. The map has latitude and longitude lines at 1’ intervals plus UTM crosshairs at 1km intervals.
On the reverse an overview map highlights eight access routes to the peak of Triglav. 25 shelters are presented with photos, contact details, GPS coordinates and QR codes for further information; also listed are seven more huts highlighted on the map.

Ordinær pris 199,00 krAmsterdam is such a title. The city is one of the major gateways into Europe and the touristic value is very high. The coverage goes from the Rembrandt Park in the west to the harbour in the east, and from the large Volkstuin Park in the north to below Vondels Park in the south. All the tram lines are shown, as well as rail tracks and the Metro lines, hotels, restaurants, museums, and attractions. As a bonus, we have included a list of the city’s top attractions. The reverse side contains a detailed travel map of the Netherlands. By the shape of the country, this includes a portion of northern Belgium as far south as Brussels. Due to the rather densely populated nature of the country, our ability to show historic sites and attractions has been somewhat limited, but we are doing something on this map that I’ve never seen on any other map – showing all the windmills that are so closely related to the Dutch heritage! All the motorways and main highways are shown, of course, and we have included a list of top attractions. The map is printed on waterproof stone paper for durability and is biodegradable.

Ordinær pris 199,00 krNorway is one of the most popular countries for visitors in Europe. We spent an interesting time researching this map in Norway, travelling all the way north to Nordkapp, a trip that took a week. We were actually on a cruise ship for much of the travel time. We also discovered a bookstore in Narvik that sells travel maps and obtained valuable research material there. Norway, as a country, is one of the prime travel destinations in the world-lots of wide open spaces, all the mod-cons, and fantastic scenery. Obviously, Nordkapp is a huge attraction, being the most northerly part of Europe one can access, but Norway has lots of other attractions. Roads in Norway tend to be of a very good quality, but are mostly two-laned and winding.
There are coastal ferries joining isolated communities from south to north, and lots of ferries for car crossings of fiords. We took a local ferry from Ålesund into the interior of Stor Fiord. It took all day to make the trip, but it was a great experience, and that's what travel is all about! Bergen is also a very interesting city to visit. Generally, Norway ranks very high as a safe and pleasant travel destination, now enhanced by being printed on durable stone paper.

Ordinær pris 169,00 krNorway is one of the more interesting countries in Europe for travellers, in that it has wide open spaces and unusual Arctic scenery, particularly in the north. Because it is a rather long and narrow country, trying to portray it adequately on a single sheet results in a lack of scale adequate for showing touristic attractions. This map covers the northern portion of the country, from Trondheim to Nordkapp and from the North Atlantic to the Russian border. It also shows a portion of northern Sweden and a bit of Finland and Russia, but its focus is on roads, rail connections, airports, distance markers, parks, and touristic attractions in the region. Most noticeably, the rail lines leading to Trondheim and north to Bodo are clearly shown. Communities, sometimes fairly small, are included, as are ferries to outlying islands close to the coast.
The reverse side shows the rail line to Narvik coming in from Sweden, and all roads and towns north to the Arctic Ocean and east to the Russian border. Border crossing to Sweden/Finland are not shown, as both countries are part of the EU, but crossings to Russia are shown, albeit closed at the moment.
