Czech Republic at 1:250,000 on a large double-sided road map from Freytag & Berndt with enlargements showing in greater detail access and main roads across 
the country’s eight main cities : Prague, Brno, Plzen, Ceské Budejovice, Karlovy Vary, Ústí nad Labem, Olomouc and Ostrava.

The map divides the country east/west with a small overlap between the sides, with the easternmost part east of Ostrava shown as an inset at the same scale as the main map. Relief shading and spot heights show the country’s topography, with colouring for woodlands and a large number of names of geographical features such as mountain chains. National Parks are shows, as well as restricted entry military areas.

Road network includes small local roads, gives driving distances on main and many secondary routes, and shows locations of petrol stations. Railway lines are included and local airports are marked. A range of symbols highlight various places of cultural and historical interest, campsites, sport and recreational facilities, etc. Latitude and longitude lines are marked at intervals of 20’. Road network clearly shows motorway services, highlights toll roads and scenic or special tourist routes, and gives driving distances on main and selected secondary routes. Also shown are ferry routes, both within Denmark and with Swedish ports. Symbols indicate various facilities and places of interest including campsites and youth hostels, historical and cultural sites, nature reserves, etc. The map has latitude and longitude lines at 30’ intervals. On the reverse are maps of the Faroe Islands (1:400,000) and Greenland (1:4,000,000); locations on these two maps are not included in the index.

Hamburg in a series of handy pocket street plans from Freytag & Berndt. Each map is laminated, so waterproof and tear-resistant, and highlights the publishers’ recommendations of five best choices in five categories: shopping, restaurants and cafes, culture, nightlife and sights.

On one side is an indexed street plan annotated with colour-coded markers highlighting the publishers’ recommendations, all listed on the reverse of the map with brief notes in several languages. In larger cities the plans cover only the central districts. Also provided are a small road map of the city’s environs, if appropriate a diagram of the metro network, and a Fact Box with phone numbers for tourist offices, car hire and emergency services.
