As far as I know, there has never been a map covering the entire coastline of the Indian Ocean portion of Africa, from Djibouti all the way south to Port Elizabeth, in South Africa - until now! This double-sided map encompasses a vast region, including all of Djibouti, Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Mozambique, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, and Swaziland (which now prefers to be called Eswatini), as well as an inset map of Madagascar. Large portions of several other countries are included, such as South Africa and southern Ethiopia. 

This would be an excellent map for anyone travelling overland from Nairobi to the Cape. All road and rail routes are shown, as well as major touristic attractions, national parks and game preserves. A Top Attractions list is included, noting Ngorogoro, Kruger, Victoria Falls, and lesser-known attractions such as the Tuli Block and Sibebe Rock.

The large, somewhat isolated, island of Madagascar off the east coast of Africa has unique wildlife that makes this country a naturalist's paradise. Road detail includes some tracks, and locations with petrol supplies are marked. The legend includes railways, ports, sea ferries, airports and airfields. Wetland areas, reserves and national parks are indicated, and a range of symbols depict various features e.g. historic sites, places of interest, antiquities, waterfalls, campsites, lodgings, beaches, hospitals and post offices. The islands of the Comoros and Mayotte are also included which also show main roads, airports and hotels. The map is single sided and printed on paper, topography is shown using altitude shading and some spot heights.

Madagascar at 1:1,200,000 on an indexed, waterproof and tear-resistant road map with topographic and tourist information, published by Reise Know-How as part of their highly acclaimed World Mapping Project. The map is double-sided to provide the best balance between a good scale and a convenient size sheet, with a generous overlap and Antananarivo included on both sides. Coverage includes the Comoros Islands and Mayotte.

Topography is indicated by altitude colouring with spot heights and mountain passes, names of mountain ranges and plateaux, seasonal rivers and lakes, mangroves and coral reefs. Road information includes seasonal tracks and indicates intermediate driving distances on main and secondary roads and locations of petrol stations. Railways, local airfields and coastal ferry connections are also shown, as well as internal administrative boundaries. National parks and protected areas are marked and symbols highlight various places of interest: selected accommodation including campsites, UNESCO world heritage sites, rovas (former royal palaces), beaches, surfing and diving locations, viewpoints, wells, medical facilities, etc. The map has a latitude/longitude grid at intervals of 1º and an index of localities with a separate list of national parks and reserves. Map legend includes English.
