Liechtenstein & Western Austria
Ordinær pris 179,00 krEurope is dotted with mini-states that exist solely for historic reasons but are fiercely independent. Liechtenstein, surrounded by Switzerland on its west and south and Austria on its other borders, is such a state. It is larger and more diverse than many imagine and is quite a popular ski resort region. Side 1 is a detailed map of the principality, framed on the west by the Rhine River and a bit of Switzerland and on the east by Austria. Most development occurs in the Rhine Valley in a north-south direction, dominated by the capital city of Vaduz. There are five access points from Switzerland across the Rhine, one from the south, and two from Austria in the north. The ski haven of Malbun is prominently shown, and the scale of the map is detailed enough to name every major street. This also enabled us the opportunity to include schools, shopping areas, post offices, and churches, as well as a wide range of eating establishments. Walking/hiking trails have also been included.
This is the only map of Liechtenstein ever produced by a cartographic firm, and joins Andorra, Luxembourg, and Monaco as a valued part of ITMB's coverage of Europe. Side 2 concentrates on eastern Austria and southern Germany from Lake Boden (Bodensee) to Linz and from the Italian border north to Passau, in Germany. It is both a road/rail map and a physical relief map of this portion of the Alps. It includes its own Top Attractions list. Border crossings are shown merely as a formality, except for Switzerland. This would be an excellent map to use to explore the mountains south of Innsbruck or to discover small villages in the Tirol.
Luxembourg & Eastern Belgium
Ordinær pris 199,00 krLuxembourg is the largest of Europe’s mini-states. We have included the principality on maps of surrounding countries, as most publishers do, but we felt it was time to concentrate on the principality itself and place it into context with its neighbours. Bounded on the west by Belgium, on its east by Germany, and its south by France, Luxembourg has survived for centuries by playing off one large power against another in order to retain its independence. Largely a French-speaking area, Luxembourg is also a strong supporter of the EU. It is a mountainous country, part of the Ardennes region, and close to Bastogne, the focal point of Hitler's last attempt to break the Allies in what is now called the Battle of the Bulge. Bastogne, site of a marvelous WW2 museum, is also on Side 1, as is a portion of Belgium going as far as Mons.
Side 2 concentrates on Belgium east of Brussels, with a small portion of Netherlands included. This includes the Brussels region, Antwerp, Leuven, Liege, and Aachen, with a tiny portion of Germany. Belgium is a larger and more diverse country than many realize. One of the great treasure of eastern Belgium is the cathedral town of Liege, which is known in Flemish as Luik and in German as Luttich, which can make finding it a bit challenging, depending upon whose map one is using, or which road signs one is following!
Spain: Mediterranean Coast
Ordinær pris 199,00 krSpain is one of the most popular travel destinations in Europe. The country is extremely diverse, reflecting its history. The coastal areas of the Mediterranean were probably first settled by Phoenicians, then Greeks, then Romans, and then Arabs before being brought into a united Spain at the time Columbus was seeking a sponsor to fund his proposed journey to discover new lands to the west. This map focuses on the coast from the French border south through Catalunya all the way to the Straits of Gibraltar and Cadiz. The offshore islands of Mallorca, Ibiza, and Menorca are included, as is the North African Spanish enclave of Ceuta and the British enclave of Gibraltar.
All road and rail lines are shown, including the new Cadiz to Madrid fast train. By the nature of mapping, a considerable amount of the interior is on the map as well, so this map is much more than just a coastal journey through Valencia and Murcia to reach Granada, although that would be a very enjoyable trip. The map is equally applicable to interior trips to Cordoba or Albacete as it is a map of the coast. However, its purpose is to show the attractions of the coast – beaches, resort areas, historic towns, forts, nature reserves, archaeological remains, and Top Attractions.
Italy: Florence & Italy Northeast
Ordinær pris 199,00 krFlorence, or Firenze in Italian, is one of the most fascinating cities on earth. It is a treasure trove of museums, statues, plazas, narrow streets, and expensive stores. Lan and I spent a week here last December, representing Canada at an international convention. We had our artwork ready to go to press, but we wanted one last opportunity to check our data. It proved to be a wise decision. We found many changes that were unrecorded-hotels out of existence, restaurants either closed down or open with new names, many churches closed, and others converted to other uses, two tram lines not shown on other maps, and lots of disruption caused by the advent of Omicron, which seems like it has been here forever instead of just a few months.
The Florence side covers from the fortress north of the main railway station to south of the Bobolini Park and from the Hippodrome east to the Asics Firenze Sports complex, and all at an easy-to-use 1:5,000 scale on waterproof paper. The rapid transit lines, which extend to the airport and the regional bus lines off the map, are clearly shown. Dozens upon dozens of hotels, restaurants, churches, plazas, statures, and important buildings are noted, as well as quite a few grocery stores, bars, electric bike recharging stations, bus stops, museums, theatres, bike routes, and libraries.
This map was exhaustive to research! The reverse side is a map of much of central Italy. We call it the Northeast because it starts in Trieste and follows the northern border to Milan, then goes down to Genoa and on to Pisa, Siena, Perugia, and Viterbo. Motorways are shown in purple, with main roads in red. Top attractions are noted. Thus, one can enjoy Florence and take day trips using the same convenient map!
France: French Atlantic Coast - Rail & Bike
Ordinær pris 179,00 krFrance is a rather large country, and while it can be portrayed on a map as a country, mapping it in segments provides an opportunity to concentrate on regions at a better scale. This map, covering the coastal region of France from the Cotenin Peninsula south to the Spanish border and east as far as Paris and Montpellier in Languedoc is the first of what we hope will be a series covering the country at an improved scale. This map is double-sided, covering from Quimper and Paris at the northernmost portion of coverage, to Angouleme and Clermont at the southern extreme on one side, with the second side covering from Bordeaux and St-Etienne south to Bayonne/Pamplona and Nimes/Avignon in the south. This is a part of Europe that has been fought over for centuries, and as such is dotted with fortresses proclaiming its historic importance.
This map has been designed with the leisure traveller in mind. Although it shows all motorways and highways, rail connections by train are emphasized, as are long-distance Euro-Velo cycling routes that are being developed in many parts of Europe. At this scale, it would be impractical to record all accommodations, but we have included a new feature that is thus far peculiar to France, and that is motorway hotels at rest areas. Naturally, the map is rich with places of touristic interest.
Europe Central
Ordinær pris 199,00 krEurope is fairly big, and densely populated. A map of all of Europe is useful, but at a scale that limits our ability to show information. As a result, last year we published a map of Western Europe. Now, we are pleased to extend our more detailed coverage of the continent with a map covering the Central European countries of Germany, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and Switzerland, with portions of France, Belarus, Serbia, and Romania. A third map, covering eastern European countries, will be released soon, providing detailed regional coverage of the continent in a way that we hope is pleasing. Germany occupies most of the first side, and Poland the other, with Czech and Slovakia divided between the two sides, and Slovakia/Hungary filling the rest of side 2.
This is a regional map, showing rail lines as well and roads, airports, and major touristic attractions. A listing of the region’s top attractions is included. This map will appeal to those visiting several countries on one trip, by rail or road. Fra ITM: 2nd edition October 2015. Folded map with detailed road and rail network, National Parks and Reserves with complete index of all cities and towns in the map. In this edition, major urban areas are shown in Cyrillic as well as the Latin alphabet, hypsometry has been re-worked to show elevation differences better. This is a double-sided map of the country (divided into west and east halves) with part of Lithuania on the western part and a fair amount of Russia on the eastern side. Known international border crossings are shown, except on crossing into Russia, which are numerous. A large inset map for Minsk in a very suitable scale (1:15.000 Scale) comprising most of the touristic sights and places of interest and Metro lines has also been provided that is far better than what we could show previously.

Fra ITM: This is, at the same time, our second edition updated map of Warsaw and a brand new title for ITMB, in that we have added a regional map of the eastern half of Poland to the second side of the map. This gives the end user two maps for the price of one by combining the many attractions of the city with its surrounding countryside. Anyone with a small amount of historical knowledge knows that Warsaw was largely destroyed during World War II. Many historic cities suffered this fate; in the case of Warsaw, the historic old town was re-built more or less as it had been, with some road widenings changing things, and the rest of the city was re-created as a post-war urban area. The old town is actually quite compact, so is shown in detail on an inset map, as is the greater Warsaw urban area The urban map shows rail and metro lines/stations, tram lines, churches, theatres, the enormous Soviet-era cultural centre, hotels etc. The regional map covers a very large portion of eastern Poland, from the eastern borders to Lodz, and includes the roads leading to Krakow and Gdansk; altogether, a perfect map for those using Warsaw as a base and exploring the hinterland on short trips.

Fra ITM: This is a brand new map for ITMB, but it isn’t. The former edition was named Bavaria, which as a province of Germany is less well-travelled than we expected, so we have reversed gears and placed Munich front and centre, with a more detailed map of the southern portion of Bavaria on the reverse side. Munich, or München in German, is a very old city and the second largest international airport from America in Germany (after Frankfurt). Much of the Aldstadt (old town), based on the former Roman city, is now pedestrianized and is a great place to walk. The cathedral, of course, is wonderful to see. The U-Bahn suburban trains and S-trains make getting around the city easy, but I prefer the trams. The Hauptbahnhof (main railway station) is on the western edge of the city centre and is huge! The map covers from the Olympic Park in the north to the ring road in the south and has both a regional inset map of the hinterland of Munich and a map of the tram lines. The back cover has a very convenient schematic map of the U and S train lines. The other side of the sheet is a very detailed map of southern Bavaria., from the Bodensee at Linden to Passau and as far north as Regensburg.

Malta & Gozo
Ordinær pris 199,00 kr3rd edition 2019. Although the country is modest in size, it is historically rich and popular with tourists. The double-sided map shows the main island of Malta on one side, and the smaller island of Gozo on the reverse, as well as inset maps of Valletta, Bugibba, Marsaskala, Mdina, and Victoria. For history buffs, Valletta can’t be beat, but the touristic city of Bugibba contains most of the resort hotels. Mdina, a walled city, is a World Heritage site. as is Victoria, a hilltop market town with a still-formidable citadel. The legacy of the Knights of St. john are everywhere. This is a very interesting and popular country to visit and a proud member of the EU.
Norway: North & Central
Ordinær pris 169,00 krNorway is one of the more interesting countries in Europe for travellers, in that it has wide open spaces and unusual Arctic scenery, particularly in the north. Because it is a rather long and narrow country, trying to portray it adequately on a single sheet results in a lack of scale adequate for showing touristic attractions. This map covers the northern portion of the country, from Trondheim to Nordkapp and from the North Atlantic to the Russian border. It also shows a portion of northern Sweden and a bit of Finland and Russia, but its focus is on roads, rail connections, airports, distance markers, parks, and touristic attractions in the region. Most noticeably, the rail lines leading to Trondheim and north to Bodo are clearly shown. Communities, sometimes fairly small, are included, as are ferries to outlying islands close to the coast.
The reverse side shows the rail line to Narvik coming in from Sweden, and all roads and towns north to the Arctic Ocean and east to the Russian border. Border crossing to Sweden/Finland are not shown, as both countries are part of the EU, but crossings to Russia are shown, albeit closed at the moment.
Zurich & Northern Switzerland

Switzerland is a lovely country to visit, albeit rather expensive, and is conveniently located in the heart of western Europe. Zurich, as a city, is not only commercially important but is a lovely city to visit and enjoy. The Old Town is a walking paradise, with stores intermingled with squares and churches, and the hilly nature of the city brings photographic images to the forefront with each turn of a corner. ITMB publishes a separate map of Geneva on one side and all of Switzerland on the other side.
For this title, we have expanded the scale and filled the reverse side with and easy-to-use regional map of Northwestern Switzerland, combining the city with its hinterland. Being a rather small country, this results in a map covering most of the country, from Lausanne in the southwest and Basle on the north to Chur on the east and Montreux in the south, so the far east and south of the country are excluded.
