The European part of Russia at 1:2,000,000 on an indexed, waterproof and tear-resistant road map of with topographic and tourist information, published by Reise-Know-How as part of their highly acclaimed World Mapping Project. The map is double-sided, with an overlap between the sides, to provide the best balance between a good scale and a convenient size sheet.

Coverage includes south-eastern Ukraine with Crimea, plus eastern and northern Finland, and extends eastwards to the Pechora River, Kirov, Kazan’ and Samara; Kaliningradskaya Oblast is not included. Names of all towns and villages are in both scripts; names of administrative units, geographical features and places of interest are in the Latin alphabet only.

Road and rail networks are easy to see on a clear base which presents topography by altitude colouring with contours, spot heights and names of mountain ranges. Swamps, salt marshes and seasonal lakes and rivers are also shown. Road network includes selected unsurfaced local roads, indicates locations of border crossings and shows driving distances on main routes. National parks and protected areas are marked and symbols highlight various places of interest, including UNESCO world heritage sites, monasteries, castles, museums, etc. The map has a latitude and longitude grid at intervals of 2º. An extensive index lists towns and villages according to their Latin alphabet names, but also shows the Cyrillic versions. Map legend includes English.
